Abstract
The incidence of accidental fall in 67,436 trauma patients was investigated for the period 1971-1995. Over-all a decrease in incidence was found from 1976 through 1995: however, notwithstanding thr over-all picture a strong a ge-specific increase ia the incidence was observed in persons of 80) years and over from 1981-1985 through 1991-1995.
