J. Lehotay et al., Chiral separation of enantiomers of amino acid derivatives by HPLC on vancomycin and teicoplanin chiral stationary phases, PHARMAZIE, 53(12), 1998, pp. 863-865
The chiral separation of alpha-amino acids by liquid chromatography using m
acrocyclic antibiotic bonded stationary phases were studied. Teicoplanin an
d vancomycin bonded stationary phases have been used to separate enantiomer
s of dansyl amino acids in the reversed - phase high performance liquid chr
omatography mode. By comparison of chromatographic parameters obtained by u
se of both chiral stationary phases it the mechanism of chiral separation c
ould be suggested. The better separation - greater value of R-j,R-i of enan
tiomers - was achieved by the teicoplanin column.
