We report on magneto-optical experiments on n-modulation doped, diluted mag
netic semiconductor (DMS) quantum wells (QW's). A realignment of electronic
spins induced by exchange interaction with magnetic ions is clearly observ
ed. Sets of "regular free-particle like" transitions have been identified.
The appearance of the subsequent satellite emission lines and the striking
behaviour of the ground state emission are speculatively assigned to many b
ody effects and/or to field induced localisation in a quantum Hall system w
