Abstract
Solitary waves originating from quantum noise in stimulated Raman forward s cattering are interferometrically investigated. The experimental data obtai ned proves the existence of solitary waves of different character. This fin ding is also supported by numerical calculations. The observed solitary pul ses are interpreted as either a solitary wave, an antisolitary wave, or a b reather.
