Abstract
Near-zero-energy electrons at the surface of glassy n-hexane (nHg) are stro ngly trapped by adsorbed molecules, with a cross section 10(2)-10(4) larger than those on the solid Kr surface. This enhancement is attributed to the difference in the band structures of solid nHg and Kr near the vacuum level .
