The characteristics of the CdTe polycrystalline films grown by the new tech
nique of double process-close-space vapor transport technique are presented
. This process can be divided in two steps: at the first step, a graphite s
ource boat packed with CdTe powder acts as the CdTe source and other graphi
te block with or without Coming glass cover is used as auxiliary substrate.
At the second step, the film deposited in the first step over graphite blo
ck or Coming glass is used as CdTe source. Different substrates were used t
o obtain polycrystalline CdTe films. We describe the oxygen and temperature
influences on the structural and the morphological properties of different
films: CdTe/glass, CdTe/SnO2/glass and CdTe/CdS/SnO2/glass.
