Abstract
Generation X is the term given to the birth dearth, those born in the 1960s and 1970s, the valley between the Baby Boomers and the boomlet. Figure 1 s hows the annual births from 1946 to 1990 [1]. The birth of Baby Boomers und oubtably began in 1946 and peaked in 1957. For Generation X the trough is o bvious as 1973. Although different demographers have different endpoints fo r the Generation X phenomena, the time frame typically chosen is 1963-1980. After 1980, the boomlet clearly erupted.
