Abstract
Prevalence of Lewis antigens and phenotypes has been investigated in 6 0 healthy donors and 74 patients with ischemic heart disease. It was f ound that phenotype Le(a-b-) marks high risk and phenotype Le(a-b+) is a resistance marker for development of ischemic heart disease. It wou ld be valid to elucidate relationships between Lewis system and pathog enesis of internal diseases.
