A 59 year old patient underwent percutaneous transluminal coronary angiopla
sty of a de novo stenosis of the proximal right coronary artery. Vessel per
foration occurred after balloon angioplasty and was successfully treated by
implantation of a new stent graft, which completely covered the perforatio
n without residual leakage. Emergency coronary surgery could, thus, be avoi
ded.
