Abstract
Cavaterm(TM) is a method for endometrial destruction by thermal coagulation by means of a silicone balloon catheter. No thermal effects on the outer u terine surface or on adjacent organs were found, when experimental studies were performed. Since August 1993, the treatment has been used clinically i n our department. We have treated more than 200 out-patients. There has bee n no immediate preoperative complications.
