A change in the initial cubic dependence of the third harmonics H-3 om
ega proportional to H-omega(3) is observed when the microwave field H-
omega perpendicular to the surface of YBaCuO film reaches the value H-
omega. Near the critical temperature Tc we obtain H-omega* proportion
al to R(i)(-1/2)(T-c - T) were R(i) is the radius of i-film. The Meiss
ner edge current density achieves a critical value of the field H-omeg
a. Therefore, we identify H-omega* as a field required to suppress th
e edge surface barrier in a thin YBaCuO film.
