Some present forecasting methods of shares are briefly introduced. Their li
mitations are also indicated. A hypothesis of shares' moving tendency is pu
t forward. Furthermore, a mathematical model of shares' moving tendency is
constructed using the methods of artificial neural networks. B-P (Back-Prop
agation) network is used to seek a solution. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Inc.
