Abstract
New bio- and magnetostratigraphic data from the Miocene continental sedimen ts of Central Spain are used to update the existing stratigraphical framewo rk. Our revised record is based on the study of more than two hundred mamma l faunas, ranging from the Late Ramblian (ca 18 Ma) to the Late Turolian (c a 6 Ma).
