Abstract
A wireless infrared (TR) LAN for the indoor environment is proposed which i s compatible with the familiar CSMA/CD protocol used in Ethernet. Eye safe 140Mbit/s transmission at only 5mW transmitter power in a 20m(2) cell is ex perimentally demonstrated.
