Abstract
To date, all wavelet computed tomography (CT) work has been based on the as
sumption of a parallel-beam geometry. The authors directly formulate wavele
t CT based on the fan-beam geometry, using recently developed theory for wa
velet filtering in filtered backprojection. Experiments with clinical raw p
rojection data demonstrate the feasibility and utility of the approach.
