Abstract
A new diterpene with the dolabellane skeleton 1 has been isolated from the sponge of the Indian Ocean, Sigmosceptrella quadrilobata. Its structure elu cidation, including absolute stereochemistry, was performed with the aid of MS, NMR, and CD data and by molecular modeling. Compound 1 is moderately c ytotoxic against four tumor cell lines.
