Abstract
The possibility of using crossed ionic dialysis to defluorin ate drinking w ater prompted us to model this process. We have applied the Nernst-Planck e quations to evaluate the transferred matter quantities as a function of the membrane nature and the concentration, For monovalent ions, the confrontat ion of the established equations with experimental results proves, that the ionic transfer is controlled either by diffusion layers, or by the membran e, as a function of salts concentration.
