Abstract
Experimental studies on generation and using of microsecond E-beams with th e energy content up to 0.4MJ are described in the paper. Peculiarities of u sing such beams for a dense plasma heating in long solenoids and for microw ave power generation at 4mm wavelength are discussed. Parameters of the bea ms and technical solutions suitable for these applications are determined.
