Abstract
A new genetic donor for the monofloret trait (MF trait) is described. Data on its creation and genetic analysis are presented. The new sourc e is compared with two previously described MF sources. This new MF ge notype was identified in the SOAN-22 line, which shows a stabilizing a nd dominant effect when crossed with unstable. or difloral forms. In d resses between SOAN-22 and multifloral forms, segregation either corre sponds to monogenic inheritance or significantly deviates from it.
