Abstract
A distinctive new troglobitic scorpion of the genus Typhlochactas Mitchell from Sotano de Poncho near Municipio Tlaquilpa, Veracruz, Mexico is describ ed and compared to the other members of the genus from the eastern ranges o f the Sierra Madre Oriental.
