Abstract
Metalorganic vapor-phase epitaxy (MOVPE) is being developed for growth of f erroelectric oxide films for electro-optic and nonlinear optical applicatio ns. With this technique, epitaxial BaTiO3 optical waveguides and electro-op tic modulators have been fabricated. MOVPE is expected to be a promising te chnique for the fabrication of a wide variety of thin film electro-optic an d nonlinear optical devices and for their integration, (C) 1998 Elsevier Sc ience B.V.
