Abstract
An optical system permitting modulation of the repartition of the energy of a laser beam in real time has been investigated starting from the theory o f Fourier optics. Comparisons of the results obtained theoretically and exp erimentally were made. The thermal effects induced during the surface treat ment have also been simulated.
