Abstract
The authors describe and compare techniques which estimate the reverse link channel to set up beamformer weights for antenna array transmiss ion in a code division multiple access (CDMA) system using frequency d ivision duplex (FDD). The results show that a single transmission is m ore efficient than splitting the power between multiple transmissions, but the algorithms degrade when the angle spread is wide.
