Na. Mishchuk, NONSTATIONARY CONCENTRATION POLARIZATION OF ION-EXCHANGE MEMBRANES .2. PULSES OF ELECTRICAL POTENTIAL DROP, Colloid journal of the Russian Academy of Sciences, 59(2), 1997, pp. 202-205
Strong concentration polarization of an ion-exchange membrane under a
mode of overlimiting current for two consecutive pulses with a fixed p
otential drop was theoretically investigated. Time dependences of elec
trolyte concentration in the Nernst layer, current density, and mass t
ransfer through the membrane were analyzed to be dependent on duration
of pulse and pause.
