In this work we report some numerical data on the pressure drop/drag force
relation for the flow of a fiber suspension past a sphere in a tube, to tes
t an analytical result due to Brenner (1962), which was derived for a creep
ing Newtonian flow. The numerical data are generated by a robust method bas
ed on the CONNFFESSIT idea of Ottinger (1996) and the DAVSS of Sun et al. (
1998), which does not rely on any closure approximation. The numerical data
