Abstract
The hydrothermal reaction of CuCN, KCN, 2,2'-bipyridyl (bpy) and water yiel ds [{Cu-2(bpy)(2)(CN)}(2)Cu-5(CN)(7)]. 0.17H(2)O 1, a two-dimensional coppe r-cyano network intercalated by [(bpy)(2)(Cu)(2)(CN)](+) cations and water of crystallization.
