G. Loas et al., RELIABILITY AND VALIDITY OF THE FRENCH VE RSION OF THE INTERPERSONAL DEPENDENCY INVENTORY OF HIRSCHFELD ET-AL (IDI) - STUDY ON 202 UNIVERSITY-STUDENTS, Annales medico-psychologiques, 155(3), 1997, pp. 211-212
The Interpersonal Dependency Inventory (IDI) is a Likert scale compose
d of 48 items divided into 3 sub-scales rating emotional reliance of a
nother person (ER), lack of social confidence (LSS) and assertion of a
utonomy (AUTO). 202 university students filled our the scale. A princi
pal components analysis followed by a varimax rotation showed a three-
factor solution. The Cronbach alpha coefficients of the sub-scales wer
e respectively 0.85, 0.72 and 0.76. Another studies, in psychiatric su
bjects, are needed to confirm our results.
