Abstract
In this paper we describe an apparatus constructed to enable various m
easurements to be carried out in boiling liquid nitrogen in the temper
ature range 77-124 K. This is achieved using a pressurized liquid nitr
ogen vessel and is primarily intended to allow measurements of high tr
ansport currents (900 A) in various high temperature superconductors o
f technological interest for which measurement data are also presented
