B. Abbott et al., Search for squarks and gluinos in single-photon events with jets and largemissing transverse energy in p(p)over-bar collisions at root s = 1.8 TeV, PHYS REV L, 82(1), 1999, pp. 29-34
We search for new physics using events with one high transverse energy phot
on, two or more jets, and an apparent imbalance in transverse energy, in p
(p) over bar collisions at the Fermilab Tevatron at root s = 1.8 TeV. Such
events are predicted for production of supersymmetric particles in some mod
els. No excess is observed beyond expected background. For the parameter sp
ace of the minimal supersymmetric standard model with branching fraction B(
<(chi)over tilde>(0)(2) --> gamma<(chi)over tilde>(0)(1)) = and m<(chi)over
tilde>(0)(2) - m<(chi)over tilde>(0)(1) > 20 GeV, we obtain a 95% confiden
ce level lower mass limit of 310 GeV for equal mass squarks and gluinos. Th
e results are also interpreted in models with low energy gauge mediated sup
ersymmetry breaking. [S0031-9007(98)08065-X].
