Abstract
The ethanolic extract of fresh flowering bulbs of Pancratium maritimum L. y ielded a new chromone, maritimin, two new polyoxygenated acetophenones, tog ether with the flavonoids syzalterin, (-)-farrerol and (-)-liquiritigenin, and the chalcone isoliquiritigenin. The structures of the isolated compound s were determined through spectral analyses including NMR and MS studies. ( C) 1998 Published by Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
