Abstract
The known delta-amyrone, 3-epi-delta-amyrin, delta-amyrin as well as anew h
ydroperoxy triterpene, 18 beta-hydroperoxy-olean-12-en-3-one (named sarment
olin) were isolated as hepatoprotective agents from Sedum sarmentosum. Thei
r structures were elucidated by spectral analysis and chemical reactions. (
