Abstract
A new dimeric proanthocyanidin, calodenin C [guibourtinidol-(4 alpha-->8)-a fzelechin] (1), was isolated from the stem bark of Ochna caladendron and it s structure determined on the basis of chemical studies and spectroscopic d ata, including HMBC and ROESY experiments.
