Abstract
A new genus, Parapetalophthalmus, is established for the new species P. sul uensis, collected from the Sulu Sea. It is closely related to Pseudopetalop hthalmus, but easily distinguished from this genus by the sixth to eighth t horacopods in which the endopods are small, 1- or 2-segmented rudiments.
