The evidence to confirm the existence of the ultrahigh-pressure metamorphic
belt (UHPMB) in the Dabie Mountains and the discovery of some typical ultr
ahigh-pressure minerals (such as coesite, diamond, magnesite and Ti-clinohu
mite) and rocks (such as coesite-bearing eclogite and quartz jadeitite) are
summarized. Based on these data, the investigations to the Dabie Mountains
by worldwide geologists and some related problems are reviewed.
