Abstract
According to the synchro-oscillating and homomorphic filtering model of inf ormation processing in visual channel, the numerical simulations have been done. The results show that the model can better reflect the basic process and the whole feature of information processing in visual channel (retine-- >lateral geniculate nucleus-->visual area in cerebral cortex), and explain preliminarily that the image projected onto the visual area of cerebral cor tex from retina is such an image whose characteristic is enhanced and noise is decreased. The integrating of visual information, in nature, is a proce ss of wavelet transform with the multiscale or multiresolution. All these m ay deepen our understanding about the processing mechanism of visual inform ation.
