Simultaneous production of no-carrier-added Nb-91,Nb-92,Nb-96 and Mo-93m th
rough the nuclear reactions (alpha,pxn) and (alpha,xn) has been performed b
y alpha-particle activation of a pure zirconium foil. The radioisotopes pro
duced were extracted and separated from the activated bulk target matrix by
LLX using HDEHP as liquid cation exchanger. Formation of the carrier free
radionuclides in the target matrix and their purity at each step of separat
ion have been verified by taking recourse to gamma-ray spectrometry.
