Abstract
Loading a triangular microstrip antenna with a shorting pin can signif icantly reduce the antenna size at a given operating frequency. Experi mental results of such a triangular microstrip antenna are presented. Variations of the resonant frequency of the triangular microstrip patc h with different shorting-pin positions are given, and comparisons of the compact and conventional triangular microstrip antennas are also p resented and discussed.
