Abstract
A new singlemode theory is given for the centre-fed hemispherical diel ectric resonator antenna. From theory, a simple formula is derived for efficient computation of the impedance matrix, and hence the input im pedance of the antenna. The theory is in excellent agreement with the rigorous theory and will be useful for design engineering.
