Abstract
The anodic dissolution of aluminum in a 1 M LiClO4 solution in a mixture of propylene carbonate and dimethoxyethane is studied by the impedance method . It is shown that the dissolution leads to the growth of a passivating lay er at the aluminum surface and is limited by the diffusion through this lay er.
