Abstract
The oxidative dehydrogenation of propane to propylene has been investigated on rare earth oxides such as LazO3, CeO2, Pr6O11 and Sm2O3 at 723 K. The c onversion of propane and selectivity to propylene were evidently enhanced b y the introduction of small partial pressure of CCl4 into the feedstream on CeO2, but little on the remaining three catalysts.
