We report an electrolyte electroreflectance (EER) study of ReS2 single crys
tals in the energy range of 1.3-6.0 eV. The EER spectrum sharp derivative-l
ike structures in the vicinity of the band-edge excitonic transitions as we
ll as higher lying interband transitions. The transition energies are deter
mined accurately and a probable energy-band structure is constructed. (C) 1
