For cis- and trans-poly(acetylene)s, the temperature dependences of the hea
t capacities were measured by adiabatic vacuum calorimetry in the 5-335 K r
ange, and the thermodynamic functions C(p)degrees, H degrees(T)-H degrees(0
), S degrees(T)-S degrees(0), Phi TB G degrees(T)-H degrees(0) were calcula
ted in the 0-330 K range. New results combined with the published data were
used to determine the thermodynamic parameters for the reactions of poly(a
cetylene) preparation from acetylene, benzene, cyclooctatetraene, PVC, and
PVA.
