Genital schistosomiasis must be considered in women from endemic areas pres enting with the following signs and symptoms: Vulvar papules, swelling or tumour irregular vaginal bleeding infertility, ectopic pregnancy Urinary tract schistosomiasis can affect the lower and upper female genital tract.
