The magnetic properties of a range of magnets, including Nd-2(Fe, Co, M)(14
)B/alpha-Fe (M = Al-Cr or Zr) and Nd(Fe, Mo)(12)N-x/alpha-Fe, have been inv
estigated. It has been found that addition of small amount of M (refractory
elements) to Nd2Fe14B-type phase can improve the intrinsic coercivity and
the hysteresis squareness of these nanocomposite magnets. The effect of int
ergrain exchange interaction on remanence and coercivity has been studied n
umerically for two-phase Nda(Fe, Co, Zr)(14)B/alpha-Fe system.
