P. Kamasa et al., Investigation of the oxidation process in rod and foil samples iron by thermomagnetic measurements, ACT PHYS SL, 48(6), 1998, pp. 857-860
Many parts of machines work at high temperatures and are exposed to atmosph
eric oxygen. In order to clarify more details of the oxidation process, we
applied a thermomagnetic measurement technique to observe magnetic suscepti
bility behaviours in the range from room temperature up to above the Curie
point. The investigations were carried out for samples in shape of thin rib
bons. A comparison with the result obtained for a monolithic sample in shap
e of a cylindrical rod are presented.
