Abstract
Glossidion gen. n. is described from larvae from Uganda. The genus is disti nguished by cleft mandibular incisors, short glossae and subrectangular par aglossae, and smooth posterior margin of the terga. Glossidion belongs to t he Baetis complex of genera and is hypothesized to be closely related to La biobaetis Novikova & Kluge. Two species, G. demoulini sp. n. and G. mysticu m sp. n., are described, and their diagnoses are discussed.
