Abstract
Some insights into the mechanism of the interference of calcium with t he atomization of selenium are evaluated. The mechanisms of stabilizat ion of selenium atomized together with concomitant calcium and by usin g palladium alone or in combination with mercury and cadmium as chemic al modifiers were also considered. The appearance temperature and the activation energy of the atomization of selenium have been evaluated a nd discussed.
