Abstract
By mixing carbon disulfide and diethylamine in chloroform prior to use , diethyldithiocarbamic acid forms. Such metal ions as CU2+, CO2+, Zn2 +, Ni2+, Cd2+, Fe3+, and Mn2+ were quantitatively extracted from an aq ueous sulfate medium as a diethyldithiocarbamate complex. The optimum extraction conditions, such as the pH, mixing ratio of reagents, and s haking time for equilibrium, were established.
