Employing the n(mu) prescription for axial-type gauges, and working i
n the unified-gauge formalism defined by n(mu) and the null vector F-m
u, we develop a simple technique for evaluating higher-rank integrals
from known lower-rank integrals. Based on partial differentiation and
implementation of an auxiliary constraint condition, the technique is
applicable to a wide variety of integrals containing either single, do
uble or triple spurious poles. We illustrate our procedure with severa
l examples. There are strong indications that the new technique is als
o capable of generating the finite parts of axial-type integrals.
