Abstract
A new hydrodynamical model interpreting the synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging of a bind of ocean objects is proposed. It is based on the perturba tion analysis of the wave height spectrum balance equation. An appropriate form of equilibrium wave height spectrum is deduced and then used to obtain the relative variation rate of the spectrum perturbation to its equilibriu m state. Such variation rate reflects directly the features of a kind of oc ean objects on the SAR. images.
